Lindsay J. Brice is a Policy Director at the ÃÛèÖAPP; her work focuses on the UpperÌýMississippi Flyway (Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri). Lindsay has over 20 years of experience in nonprofitÌýand government sectors, including significant state level policy success around sexual violence response.ÌýShe is delighted to align her personal interests in wildlife and conservation with her work in law andÌýpolicy. Lindsay graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Women’s Studies.

AfterÌýwork with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a wildland firefighter and a MinnesotaÌýConservation Corps crew leader, she pursued graduate level courses in fire ecology. Lindsay went on toÌýreceive her J.D. from Hamline UniversityÌýSchool of Law (now Mitchell Hamline). During and immediatelyÌýafter law school Lindsay worked on a federal case brought by the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of MichiganÌýto gain permanent recognition of their 1855 and 1864 reservation boundaries; this settlement remainsÌýin place and is a model for boundary disputes nationwide. Lindsay and her partner divide their timeÌýbetween St. Paul, Minnesota and rural Wisconsin. She is an avid traveler who particularly enjoys canoeing,Ìýcamping, and other adventures focused on animals, birds, and wilderness.
