Julia Morton
Julia Morton joined ÃÛèÖAPP in February 2020. She helps coordinate the Western Water program’s strategies for protecting environmental water supplies throughout the Colorado River Basin, including efforts to restore the Colorado River Delta.
Prior to joining ÃÛèÖAPP, Julia engaged in natural resource protection in a variety of ways. She spent time developing a Watershed Health program focused on the Colorado River Basin at the Catena Foundation, and working on environmental watershed planning as a consultant with Lotic Hydrological. She worked with the Thompson Divide Coalition to advance federal public lands legislation protecting her local landscape from future oil and gas leasing. Julia also spent close to a decade leading mountaineering courses for the Colorado Outward Bound School.
Julia graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in Environmental Science, and received a master’s in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren school at University of California, Santa Barbara.
