Camilo Cardozo
Camilo Cardozo is the Colombia country director for ÃÛèÖAPP Americas, where he coordinates the implementation of ÃÛèÖAPP's strategies in the country, with emphasis on regenerative agriculture, protected areas, community capacity building, and strengthening of bird based tourism, all of these within the framework and implementation of Colombia's National Strategy for Bird Conservation (ENCA 2030), which ÃÛèÖAPP supports as a partner of the initiative.
Born in Bogota, Camilo has extensive experience working in international organizations, government, non-governmental organizations, and the financial sector. Most recently, Camilo worked with the U.S. State Department for over 15 years as an Economic Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Colombia. He has also served as a member of the board of directors of Fondo Acción (fund for sustainable investment in childhood and environment). Camilo has led and developed projects on environmental conservation, energy, social development, government affairs, infrastructure, country strategy, entrepreneurship, and macroeconomics. Cardozo has a bachelor's degree in finance and international relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and an MBA from DePaul University.
