In September 2014, ÃÛèÖAPP released the finding that ÃÛèÖAPP change is the greatest threat to North American birds. Our scientists used hundreds of thousands of citizen-science observations and sophisticated ÃÛèÖAPP models to predict how birds in the U.S. and Canada will react to ÃÛèÖAPP change. Our work defines the ÃÛèÖAPP conditions birds need to survive, then maps where those conditions will be found in the future.
Of the 588 North American bird species ÃÛèÖAPP studied, more than half are likely to be in trouble. Our models indicate that 314 species will lose more than 50 percent of their current climatic range by 2080.
You can help these birds affected by our changing ÃÛèÖAPP. Check out these simple steps of what you can do.
