Italian street artist Hitnes continues his travels across the United States, retracing John James ÃÛèÖAPP's steps (read about the inspiration for the project here).
While traveling down the coast of Florida to Miami, Hitnes saw an abundance of Brown Pelicans and decided it was only fitting to paint the large, elegant bird as his next mural—currently located on a wall at 2021 NW 2nd Avenue in Miami. Hitnes also participated in , a non-profit mural festival in St. Petersburg, Florida, for which he created a Roseate Spoonbill mural.
After leaving Florida, Hitnes passed through Mississippi and visited the . During his stay there, Hitnes painted Red-bellied Woodpeckers on a fence in the sanctuary and studied the skeletal remains of Brown Pelicans (as seen in the video clip).
