Let’s Go Birding Together!
June is Pride Month, and APP is celebrating with Let's Go Birding Together bird walks and other LGBTQ inclusive activities.
Thearrival of June marks Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month, usually just shortened to Pride Month. Celebrations include pride parades, picnics, parties, and, in the case of APP, bird walks. Our Let's Go Birding Together series was founded and organized by Jason St. Sauver, Community Education director at Spring Creek Prairie APP Center in Denton, Nebraska. Other APP sites across the country have joined Jason in creating inclusive birding events.
Let's Go Birding Together walks are for everyone who loves birds and the outdoors. We welcome those who identify as LGBTQ, allies, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy an outdoor experience that is inclusive. Why do we do this? Because the outdoors has not always been a welcoming place for LGBTQ people and APP wants help change that.

In June of 2022, APP partnered with drag queen and intersectional environmentalist Pattie Gonia ona series of videos, including a feature on Let’s Go Birding Together.
