APP Wishes Senator Thad Cochran Well In Retirement
As a leader of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Cochran often rose above partisan politics to support conservation.
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (March 6, 2018) — “They just don’t make Senators like Thad Cochran anymore. Often a calm voice of reason during the legislative process, Senator Cochran regularly voted to build on America’s long, bipartisan history of conservation in his time on the appropriations committee,” said Jill Mastrototaro, APP Mississippi’s policy director.
“APP wishes Senator Cochran well in his retirement, during which he’ll always be welcome at our Pascagoula River and Strawberry Plains APP Centers. We look forward to an equally productive working relationship with his successor to help us protect the birds and wildlife of Mississippi and the Gulf Coast,” said Sheryl Bowen, APP Mississippi’s board chair.
