APP Welcomes Sarah Greenberger as Vice President for Conservation
NEW YORK – Today, the APP announced the appointment of Sarah Greenberger as Vice President for Conservation. In this role Greenberger will oversee APP’s national policy team and coordinate Washington-based strategies for the 111-year-old conservation organization.

She brings a deep understanding of the conservation world and a track record of working collaboratively with public and private stakeholders to craft pragmatic conservation solutions,” said APP President and CEO (). “Her conservation and policy experience, leadership qualities and dedication to APP’s mission gives us a huge lift as we take on the most significant conservation opportunities of our time.”
Greenberger joins APP from the U.S. Department of the Interior, where she spent five years driving strategy and policy for the agency as a counselor and senior advisor to both former and current Secretaries of the Department of Interior, Ken Salazar and Sally Jewell. In that role, she was instrumental in shaping last year’s pioneering strategy working closely with APP, Western State Governors and other stakeholders. Prior to this engagement, she held several notable roles including serving as Legislative Counsel to Senator Benjamin L. Cardin and working as Clerk to Judge David S. Tatel on U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Williams College and her JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

In addition to helping execute APP’s priorities highlighted in its , Greenberger will also lead APP’s Working Lands program which focuses on building public and private partnerships to advance collaborative conservation solutions on landscapes dominated by private farms, ranches and forests. She will be based in APP’s Washington, DC office.
