We’re proud to announce that the American Society of Magazine Editors chose APP as a finalist for a 2010 National Magazine Award in the general excellence category.
“Magazines have never been better,” Sid Holt, Chief Executive of ASME, said in a . “The depth of reporting, quality of writing, superior storytelling and unparalleled service journalism in this year’s National Magazine Awards finalists showcase the editorial strengths of our medium.”
The other finalists in the category, which recognizes overall editorial achievement at six circulation levels, APP’s being 250,000 to 500,000, are , , , and . The last time APP was selected as a finalist was in 2007.
The National Magazine Awards, now in their 45th year, are sponsored by the American Society of Magazine Editors in association with the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and “have long been recognized as the preeminent awards for magazine journalism in the United States,” the announcement reads.
