APP Names Greg Goldman Vice President and Executive Director for APP Pennsylvania
AUDUBON, Pa.—The APP proudly announces the appointment of Greg H. Goldman, Vice President and Executive Director of as of September 19, 2016. Just as migratory birds soar above challenges to build their nests, Goldman comes onboard at a critical time for APP and the Atlantic Flyway team.
“This is a very exciting time for APP Pennsylvania’s programming efforts across the state,” said , APP’s Vice President, Atlantic Flyway. “Greg’s entrepreneurial drive, demonstrated fundraising results, deep commitment to diversifying the conservation community, and his knowledge of Pennsylvania will make him a valuable asset.”
In his new position, Goldman will be responsible for coordinating APP’s efforts across Pennsylvania, working to align nature centers, chapters, sanctuaries and projects with the APP’s new strategic plan for conservation within watersheds, forests and bird-friendly communities. In the Delaware Valley, this includes two major capital projects, the in East Fairmount Park/North Philadelphia, and the at Mill Grove in APP, Pa.

I am particularly excited for the opportunity to grow and leverage these assets to advance APP’s urgent agenda around APP change and conservation—for the benefit of wildlife and humans alike,” said Goldman.
Formerly Vice President, Development for the Philadelphia Zoo, Goldman recently oversaw completion of a $32 million campaign for KidZooU. His background also includes stints as CEO of Wireless Philadelphia and Executive Director of MANNA, a volunteer organization providing nutritional services to people living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.
An Eisenhower Fellow, he holds a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. A long-time resident of the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Goldman is married to Liz Hersh, the Director of the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Homeless Services. They have two children, Emma and Zack.
