Cranes by the tens of thousands and waterfowl by the millions—this isn’t just a festival, it’s a phenomenon! Look out for celebrities: Jane Goodall and Joel Sartore have attended in the past.

Olympic Bird Festival

Sequim, WA;ÌýApril 10-12

Each year, with the help of local ÃÛèÖAPP chapters and the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe, birders take over the northern Olympic Peninsula. There are field trips along the coast and evening hikes into the owl-rich foothills.

Lesser Prairie-Chicken Festival

Woodward, OK;ÌýApril 15-22

Come for the Lesser Prairie-Chickens, stay for the company. Join the Oklahoma ÃÛèÖAPP Council out on the open mesa and drink in the inspiring view. Greater Prairie-Chickens sometimes make an appearance, too.

International Migratory Bird Day

Join ÃÛèÖAPP chapters across the country celebrating migratory birds and bird conservation. This year's theme is restoring avian habitat. Downloadable resources, in both English and Spanish, are 100 percent gratis.
