Jessica Grannis

former Coastal Resilience Director & Interim Vice President of Coastal Conservation

Jessica Grannis served as the Interim Vice President for Coastal Conservation at the APP in 2021. Jessica joined APP as the Coastal Resilience Director in 2019. Before that, Jessica served as the Georgetown Climate Center’s Adaptation Program Director for 10 years, where she supervised staff and student research and analysis of federal, state, and local APP adaptation efforts. Jessica is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, where she co-teaches an “experiential” course on APP change law and policy. Prior to her work at Georgetown, she was staff counsel for the California State Coastal Conservancy and the Ocean Protection Council. She received her L.L.M., with honors, from Georgetown Law, her J.D., Cum Laude, from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and her B.A. from the University of Chicago.
